Your silver from the air as it might tarnish with time.

American Eagle Silver

American Eagle Silver
Silver Dollar

American Eagle Silver Dollar coins have been produced each year by the United States Government since 1986 launching it as the most popular and widely collected coin in U.S. history. They are Congressionally authorized and produced by the United States Mint at West Point, New York and are legal tender coins with a face value of one dollar. While the face value of the American Eagle Silver Dollar coin is one dollar, it is valued above that at the current market value for the price of silver worldwide. Interestingly, the Mint does not sell uncirculated American Eagle Silver Dollars directly to the public. Instead, the Mint distributes the coins through a network of wholesalers, brokerage companies, precious metal firms, and independent coin dealers.

Considered by many to be one of the most beautiful American coin designs, it is modeled after the old 1916 through 1947 U.S. Silver Half Dollars depicting Adolph A. Weinman's Walking Liberty and has become one of the most widely collected dollar coins in the world. The obverse (front) of the coin features Weinman's stunning full length figure of the Walking Liberty enveloped in folds of the flag with her right hand extended and branches of laurel and oak in her left. The reverse design is a rendition of a heraldic eagle by John Mercanti. The Heraldic Eagle is depicted with shield, an olive branch in the right talon and arrows in the left.
